Hi, I’m Brooke! I grew up in a close-knit family where love, laughter, and caring for others were just part of everyday life. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of being a school teacher—I was the kid who loved playing “classroom” and helping others learn new things. Fast forward a few years, and as a single mom, I quickly learned how tough it can be to find a daycare that’s not only safe and reliable, but also truly caring and focused on learning. Open spots were hard to find, and the places that did have availability often didn’t feel like the right fit. That’s what inspired me to open Cozy Kidz Academy—a place where parents can finally feel at ease, knowing their children are learning, laughing, and being loved every single day. My goal is simple: to give families the type of daycare I always wished for—warm, welcoming, and full of fun!
As the Director of Cozy Kidz Academy, I bring over 20 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for early childhood education. I hold a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (with endorsements in kindergarten through eighth grade), a Special Education Interventionist certification, and a degree in Educational Leadership. Most recently, I have had the joy of teaching Early Head Start with Anderson County Schools. What I love most about early childhood education are the snuggles, hugs, art projects, dancing, and exploring the world through the eyes of children. I also enjoy building strong relationships with families—sharing what we’re learning in the classroom, celebrating successes together, and helping solve challenges that may arise at home. Watching children grow and develop is one of the greatest privileges of my career. I feel truly honored that you have chosen to trust our center with your little one. Brooke and I are both parents ourselves, and we understand how difficult it can be to leave your child in someone else’s care. Please know that we do not take that responsibility lightly.
